Who I Am & Why I Write

I am many things: a transgender man, a trauma survivor, an ex-Jehovah's Witness, a recovering alcoholic, and a lifelong seeker of truth. But at my core, I am a storyteller — someone who has walked through the fire and now lights a torch for others still finding their way.

My journey has been shaped by severe trauma, surviving deep personal losses, and finding my way back to myself through spiritual awakening. Along the way, I discovered that healing isn’t about fixing what’s “broken.” It’s about remembering who we truly are.

Through my writing, podcasting, and sharing my story, I hope to give voice to the unspoken, to create space for the outcasts and the dreamers, and to remind you that you are worthy of love, purpose, and peace — exactly as you are.

My Story

I’ve lived many lives in one body.

I was born into a high-control religious group where individuality was forbidden, questions were dangerous, and authenticity came at the cost of love and belonging. I learned early on how to hide my true self — my queerness, my doubts, my dreams — because survival depended on it.

But you can only live in the shadows for so long before your soul demands to be seen.

When I came out as transgender, I lost almost everything I thought I needed to feel safe — my family, my faith community, and the only version of “home” I’d ever known. In the wreckage, I turned to alcohol to numb the pain of rejection and the trauma I carried from years of silence, abuse, and unspoken grief. Addiction consumed me. There were nights I didn’t think I’d make it out alive.

But I did.

Through recovery, trauma healing, and a spiritual awakening that transformed everything I thought I knew, I found my way back to myself. I discovered that healing is not about becoming someone new — it’s about remembering who you truly are, reclaiming the parts of yourself you were taught to hide, and learning to live in alignment with your deepest truth.

Today, I am more than a survivor. I am a storyteller, an author, a podcaster, and a lightworker. My work is for the outcasts, the dreamers, the queer souls, and the ones who’ve had to shove their light into a box it was never meant to fit. I write for anyone standing in the in-between — between pain and healing, between who they were and who they’re becoming.

My books, my podcast, and this space exist to remind you of one thing:

You are worthy. You are whole. And you are never as lost as you think you are.
